Day 1: Windhoek - Swakopmund

At Windhoek Airport or at your accommodation,
Discover the caring smile of your guide. He will quickly drive you to the Coast.
Departure to reach Swakopmund, you will make a quick stop at the Art Craft Market in Okahandja.

Swakopmund is a coastal city in Namibia, west of the capital, Windhoek. Its sandy beaches face the Atlantic Ocean.

As the stars light up the Namibian sky, you gather around a friendly table to listen to your guide's information and discuss the journey ahead - This will happen daily until the end of your tour.

Day 2: Swakopmund - Walvis Bay - Swakopmund

Early departure to Walvis Bay, the main port town of Namibia. A boat trip on the lagoon leads you to search for dolphins and sea lions - NOT Private
Early morning trip on the Atlantic Ocean by boat, looking for sea lions, dolphins, pelicans, cormorants and possibly the rare fish "Mola-Mola". This sea adventure allows you to discover the aquatic life of the coast in the best possible conditions, on a comfortable and spacious boat, usually a catamaran with a maximum capacity of 25 people.

Did you know that the Atlantic in Namibia was home to so many fur seals? You will observe them this morning from a catamaran. In the afternoon, free time in the confusing "Seaside" city of Swakopmund, founded by the German commander Curt Von Francois in 1892. The objective was to create a competing port of the one of
Walvis Bay (held by the English) to put into service a naval line between Hamburg and Namibia from 1899. This
was to facilitate the supply from Germany and support the colonization of the region.

Day 3: Swakopmund - Sossusvlei

Today after breakfast, you will continue the road to the south, in Naukluft Park. Cross the Kuiseb Pass and the Tropic of Capricorn. Namib is one of the oldest and driest deserts in the world, covering more than 15% of the country on the Atlantic.

The accumulation of sand and the formation of the dunes spread between 40 and 15 million years. Quick stop at Solitaire for pictures and a Refreshment.

Day 4

Day 4: Sossusvlei

After breakfast, today will be all about forms and colors. The Sossusvlei dunes rise more than 375 meters above the Tsauchab River that flows from East to West in the desert, just a few kilometers from the Atlantic Ocean. They are among the highest dunes in the world. These dunes are located above an ancient petrified desert that forms a
basement of sandstone.

After lunch, you will visit the Sesriem Gorge.

Day 5: Sossusvlei - Windhoek

Quiet breakfast at the lodge, and then drive to Windhoek, where you will arrive in the late morning or early afternoons.
If time permits you will visit the city with your guide or do some shopping,
before being transferred to the international airport if your flight is due.
Note that you must be at the airport 2 hours before take-off time,
and it takes approximately one hour between the city center and the airport.
